INTRAcel is a unique technique using Fractional Radiofrequency Micro-needling [FRM]. It delivers energy to the deep dermis at the point of penetration of specially designed insulated micro-needles without destruction of the epidermis.

Q: How long does the typical INTRACel treatment take?

A: The treatment time is about 15 to 25 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia.

Q: How long should I wait between treatments?

A: Patients will benefit from multiple treatments. It takes about four weeks for the skin to completely regenerate between treatments, and as a result treatments should be spaced at least 30 days apart for optimal healing.

Are there any side effects?

Bleeding points and redness

• Immediately after treatment there may be some pinpoint bleeding  and sometimes swelling . Both are quickly resolved with cooling packs which minimize inflammation.

Infection

• Even though the needles are sterilized, bacterial infections can still occur.

Pigmentation

• This is primarily caused by picking the skin after treatment

Folliculitis

• A temporary increase in sebum can block pores. This condition will quickly resolve.

Redness is variable from patient to patient and usually settles in 24-48 hrs.
Small marks may persist for a few days and some patients experience dryness of the skin for a short time.
